Nicole Guberman Isaacs is a versatile artist recognized for her “gorgeous lyric soprano,” “spinning top register,” and “fluid musicality.” Pre-pandemic, Nicole debuted as Frasquita in Bizet's CARMEN at the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Manini in Narni, Italy, under the baton of Maestro Giovanni Pacor. In New York Nicole appeared with the New York City Opera Chorus at Bryant Park and also for MET Tenor Michael Fabiano’s wedding, as Anna in a staged duet scena from Donizetti’s ANNA BOLENA and as Soprano Swing (Fox, Mrs. Paskova, Hen) in Janacek’s PŘÍHODY LIŠKY BYSTROUŠKY (THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN) with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble at LaMama Experimental Theater, Kate Pinkerton in Puccini’s MADAMA BUTTERFLY with New York Opera Collaborative, Vespetta in Telemann’s PIMPINONE with Apollo Opera, in concert as Cleopatra in Handel’s GIULIO CESARE with operamission, Zelmire in Gluck's DER BETROGENE KADI with NY Lyric Opera, and with NYC’s Opera on Tap.

Her diversity of repertoire and musical intelligence has extended to both baroque and contemporary styles: as the title role in Blow’s VENUS AND ADONIS with Cornish Opera Theater, Night in Purcell’s THE FAIRY QUEEN and Hebé in Rameau’s LES INDES GALANTES with Amherst Early Music Festival Opera, and in concert with New York Continuo Collective. She premiered new music in Seattle and New Jersey and has championed new works by living composers.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, magna cum laude from the
Ithaca College School of Music (now known as the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance) where she was the recipient of the Robert Boothroyd and Alice F. Berman Scholarships for music performance as well as awards from the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Born in Manhattan, NY and raised in New Jersey, in her early years Nicole studied saxophone and musical theater, later focusing her musical studies to voice at Westminster Conservatory. From age 18-20 she performed with the Juilliard Choral Union now known as Essential Voices USA, for Kristin Chenoweth's Live at the MET concert, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms at the NY State Theater with the NYC Ballet, Brahms Requiem at Carnegie Hall, with the late Skitch Henderson and the NY Pops Orchestra, Wall-to-Wall Stephen Sondheim at Symphony Space, and the Duruflé Requiem at Alice Tully Hall.

In 2025 she moved to Lynbrook, NY with her husband after a few years together in Long Beach, she herself previously residing in Upper Manhattan for almost a decade.

Nicole sings with the Adult Choir of Temple Emanu-El of the South Shore and has guested as a cantorial soloist within local synagogues of southwestern Nassau County.

“I had years of experience singing in choirs but very little experience in individual voice instruction, or solo singing at all for that matter. I thought that voice lessons could help me hone my technique -- and that has absolutely been the case! Nicole has helped me changed the fundamental way I produce tone, but not in such a way that I feel like I'm starting from square one, which would have been frustrating. Step by step we've been working on breathing, support, and a fluidity of motion through notes. She focuses on getting me to observe what I am doing differently and how I feel, in a very specific sense, each time we go through a piece or an exercise. This has helped me consciously improve my technique and given me a valuable asset in practice. Nicole runs her studio very professionally. She is very good about being in contact and always 100% ready to teach at the start of our lesson. On top of all that, she offers positive reinforcement as I sing, not at the expense of critique, but it makes for a collegial environment that I much appreciate. I highly recommend Nicole if you are seeking voice lessons." –Ben F.
